Safety tips

Meeting new people should be exciting, not risky. Most members on arogaro are here for the right reasons, but these tips can help you stay safe online and when you meet in person.

  • Take your time. Chat in the app first and get to know the person.
  • Keep conversations on arogaro until you feel comfortable. Scammers often try to move quickly to other apps.
  • Meet in a busy public place, and tell a friend or family member who you are meeting, where and when.
  • Arrange your own transport there and back, so you can leave whenever you want.
  • Never send money. No genuine match will ask you for cash, bank transfers, mobile wallet payments, gift cards or cryptocurrency.
  • arogaro will never ask for your sign-in code. Do not share it with anyone.
  • If something feels wrong, trust your instincts. Open the chat, tap the ••• menu and choose Report or Block.

In an emergency, contact local emergency services first. In Bhutan, call 113 for the police, 112 for an ambulance, or 110 for fire. Once you are safe, email safety@arogaro.app so we can take action on the account.
