Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information arogaro collects, why we need it, who can see it, and the choices you have. We never sell your personal data.

1. Information you give us

Account details: your email address and, if you choose to verify one, your phone number.
Profile details: your name, birthday, gender, who you are interested in, photos, interests and bio.
Preferences: the age range, languages and other settings you use to discover people.
Activity: likes, matches, messages, posts, comments and event sign-ups.
Support requests: anything you send to our support or safety teams.

2. Information we collect automatically

Device information such as device model, operating system, app version and language.
Your approximate location at city level, if you allow it (see our Location-Related Services terms).
Usage information such as when you open the app and which features you use, to keep the app working well.
Crash reports and diagnostic logs.

3. How we use your information

To create and run your account and sign you in with a one-time email code.
To suggest people you might like and show you nearby members and events.
To keep members safe: detecting fake accounts, spam and abuse, and reviewing reports.
To respond to your questions and support requests.
To send service emails, such as sign-in codes, account notices and important updates.
To process Premium Gold subscriptions through your app store.
To understand how the app is used so we can fix problems and improve it.

4. What other members can see

Your profile is designed to be seen by other members. They can see your name, age, city, photos, interests and bio, along with any posts you share publicly in the app.

Other members can never see your email address or phone number. Your messages are only visible to the people you are chatting with, and to our safety team if a conversation is reported.

5. Sharing with service providers

We share information only with trusted companies that help us run arogaro, and only as much as they need to do their job. They must keep it secure and may not use it for their own purposes. These include:

Cloud hosting and database providers that store your account and content.
Email delivery providers that send your sign-in codes and service emails.
Push notification services that deliver alerts to your device.
Crash reporting providers that receive diagnostic data and your account ID.
Apple and Google, which process subscription payments.
Subscription management providers that verify your App Store or Google Play purchases.

6. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to advertisers or anyone else. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to a valid request from authorities, or to protect the safety of our members and the public.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your profile, photos and messages within 30 days.

We may keep limited records for longer where needed for safety (for example, to prevent a banned member from returning), to resolve disputes, or to meet legal and accounting obligations.

8. Keeping your information secure

We use encryption in transit, access controls and regular reviews to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please keep access to your email safe and tell us right away if you notice anything unusual.

9. Your rights and choices

Access: ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correct: update most details yourself in Profile > Settings > Personal Information.
Delete: remove your account and data in Settings > Login & Security > Delete account.
Control location: turn off location access at any time in your device settings.
Notifications: choose which alerts you receive in Settings > Notifications.

10. Children

arogaro is only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a member is under 18, we will remove the account. If you believe a minor is using the app, please report it to us.
