Terms & Conditions of Location-Related Services

1. What location we use

With your permission, arogaro uses your device location to work out the city or town you are in. We only keep your location at city level — we do not store your precise GPS position or track where you go.

2. How it is used

• To show roughly how far away other members are, for example “5 km away” or “In Thimphu”.
• To suggest people who live near you.
• To show events happening in or near your city.
• To help detect suspicious activity, such as an account being used from many places at once.

3. What other members see

Other members may see your city and an approximate distance. Your exact location is never shared with other members, and distances are rounded so they cannot be used to pinpoint where you are.

4. Your consent

We ask for location permission through your device before using it. Agreeing to these terms lets us use city-level location as described here. You can still use arogaro if you decline, but distance and nearby suggestions may be less accurate or unavailable.

5. How to turn it off

• iPhone: open Settings > arogaro > Location and choose Never.
• Android: open Settings > Apps > arogaro > Permissions > Location and choose Don’t allow.
• Once turned off, we stop updating your location. Your last known city stays on your profile until you change it or delete your account.

6. How long we keep it

We keep only your most recent city-level location, replacing it each time it changes. It is deleted with the rest of your data when you delete your account.

7. Sharing

We do not sell location information or share it with advertisers. It is processed only by our cloud hosting providers on our behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.
