Terms of Service

1. Who can use arogaro

arogaro is for adults who are looking to meet new people in a genuine, respectful way. To create an account, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
• Not have been removed from arogaro before for breaking these terms or our Community Guidelines.
• Not be prohibited from using the service under any law that applies to you.

2. Your account

Each person may have one account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold or transferred.

We do not use passwords. When you sign in, we send a one-time code to your email address. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can read your inbox could sign in as you. Let us know straight away if you believe someone else has used your account.

You are responsible for keeping your profile accurate and up to date, including your name, birthday and photos.

3. Your content

You own the photos, bio, messages, posts and other content you add to arogaro. By adding it, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, resize and share that content within the app, only so we can run, improve and promote the service.

This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where the content has already been shared with other members (for example, messages you sent) or where we must keep it for safety or legal reasons.

You confirm that you have the right to share everything you upload, and that it does not break anyone else’s rights.

4. Things you must not do

To keep arogaro safe and welcoming, you agree not to:

• Pretend to be someone else or use photos that are not of you.
• Harass, threaten, bully or intimidate other members.
• Post nudity, sexual content, hate speech or violent content.
• Ask other members for money, gifts, bank details or investments.
• Advertise, sell products or services, or recruit for other platforms.
• Use the app for any illegal purpose, or to contact anyone under 18.
• Scrape, copy, reverse engineer or interfere with the app or its systems.
• Create accounts using automated tools or on behalf of someone else.

5. Premium Gold

The free plan lets you use the core features of arogaro. Premium Gold is an optional paid subscription that unlocks extra features, such as seeing everyone who likes you, unlimited chats and unlimited event sign-ups.

• Premium Gold is available for 1, 3 or 12 months, starting at Nu. 499 for 1 month. The price of each plan is shown in the app and your app store at the time of purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically for the same length of time unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You keep Premium Gold until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Payments are processed by Apple or Google. Refunds are handled under their refund rules, and we cannot issue refunds directly.
• We may change prices or features with reasonable notice. Price changes apply from your next renewal.

6. In-person events

arogaro may list events where members can meet in person. Some events are hosted by us and others by partners.

• Attending any event is your choice and at your own risk. Please follow our Safety Tips and use good judgement.
• Some events are open only to members who have verified their profile. We may ask for verification before confirming your place.
• Members on the free plan can sign up for a limited number of events each month.
• Event details, times and venues can change or be cancelled. We will try to let you know in the app when this happens.
• The Community Guidelines apply at events just as they do in the app.

7. Suspension and termination

You can stop using arogaro at any time and delete your account from Settings > Login & Security > Delete account.

We may warn you, limit features, suspend or permanently remove your account if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms or our Community Guidelines, put other members at risk, or used the service unlawfully. Where it is safe and appropriate, we will explain why. Removal from the app does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription.

8. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep arogaro running smoothly and safely, but the app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that you will find a match.

We do not run criminal background checks on members and cannot guarantee that everyone is who they say they are. You are responsible for your own interactions with other members, online and in person.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, arogaro and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the app or from the conduct of other members, online or offline.

Where we are found liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium Gold in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bhutan. Any dispute that we cannot resolve together informally will be handled by the competent courts of Bhutan.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the app grows or the law changes. If we make important changes, we will let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use arogaro after that means you accept the updated terms.
